Meet the Attorney
My name is Willis J. Bowden III, Esq., and my journey in the field of law has been defined by a passion for justice, a commitment to education, and a drive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. I embarked on this path with a solid academic foundation, graduating from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice. This educational background laid the groundwork for my future endeavors in the legal field.
I pursued my legal education at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, where I not only gained comprehensive knowledge but also actively contributed to the legal community. During my time at law school, I had the honor of serving as the President of the Evening Law Students Association, showcasing my leadership abilities and dedication to fostering a supportive academic environment. Additionally, I was elected as a senator for the Student Bar Association, representing the voice of my peers from 2014 to 2015. In recognition of my
commitment to the legal community, I was appointed as the Secretary of the Student Bar Association for the year 2015 to 2016, where I continued to advocate for the interests of my fellow students.
My legal journey also led me to invaluable practical experiences. I served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Ginger Lerner Wren, presiding over Misdemeanor Mental Health Court in the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, Florida. This experience allowed me to witness the intersection of law and mental health, deepening my understanding of the complexities of the legal system and the importance of empathy in legal practice. Additionally, I had the privilege of working as a research assistant to the Retired 17th Circuit Judge Frank Orlando, where I honed my research skills and gained insights into the nuances of judicial decision-making.
In 2018, I earned my license to practice law in the State of Nevada, a significant milestone that marked the beginning of my professional legal career. I joined Alverson Taylor and Sanders, where I had the opportunity to work under the mentorship of Shirley Blazich, Esq. and LeAnn Sanders, Esq. During my tenure at the firm, I primarily focused on Medical Malpractice and personal injury cases, honing my expertise in these complex areas of law. My dedication and proficiency were further recognized when I passed the Florida Bar in 2020, expanding my legal practice to the vibrant legal landscape of the Sunshine State.
Before establishing my own firm, I contributed my legal skills and knowledge to Rosenblum Allen Law Firm under the guidance of Molly Rosenblum. In this role, I worked on a diverse range of cases, including Family Law, Criminal Law, Guardianships, Adoptions, Record Sealing, and Dependency matters. My experience in these diverse areas equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of legal issues individuals and families face.
I am particularly proud of my recent accomplishment as defense counsel for Juveniles through my Juvenile Delinquency contract with Clark County. This role allows me to advocate for the rights and well-being of young individuals, underscoring my commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those who need legal representation the most.
As I embark on the next chapter of my legal career with Bowden-Boyatt Law PLLC, I bring with me not only a wealth of legal knowledge and experience but also a deep-seated dedication to innovative, creative, and empathetic legal practice.
